Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

Account information: your email address, display name and a hashed password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and Google account identifier from Google — we never see your Google password.

Content you store: tracks, boards, checklists, notes and the files you upload to Idea Drop.

Usage data: product events (such as pages viewed and features used), your approximate country derived from your IP address, and technical data such as browser type. We use this to understand how the Service is used and to improve it.

Billing data: if you subscribe to Pro, Stripe processes your payment details. We never see or store your full card number — we only keep your Stripe customer reference, plan and subscription status.

2. How we use your information

We use your data to provide and operate the Service, authenticate you, store and serve Your Content, process subscriptions, send transactional emails (such as a welcome email), understand product usage so we can improve TrackMuse, and prevent abuse.

We do not sell your personal data.

3. Cookies and analytics

We use local storage in your browser to keep you signed in and remember your preferences (theme, language).

On our public pages we use Google Analytics and the Reddit Pixel to measure traffic and the effectiveness of our marketing. These providers may set cookies and receive your IP address and page interactions, subject to their own privacy policies.

4. Where your data is stored

Your account data and content live in our database, and files you upload to Idea Drop are stored on Amazon Web Services (S3). Transactional email is sent through Amazon SES. Our infrastructure providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments.

5. Sharing with third parties

We share data only with the service providers needed to run TrackMuse: Amazon Web Services (hosting, file storage and email delivery), Stripe (payments), Google (sign-in with Google and analytics) and Reddit (advertising measurement).

We may also disclose data if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of TrackMuse, our users or the public.

6. Data retention and deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual content (tracks, files, scenes) at any time from the app, and uploaded files are removed from storage when you delete them.

To delete your account and all associated data, contact us at support@trackmuse.app and we will process the deletion within 30 days. Some data may persist in backups for a limited time before being purged.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. The app includes a one-file backup export of your content, and you can exercise any other right by emailing support@trackmuse.app.

If you are in the EU/EEA or UK, you may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8. Security

We protect your data with industry-standard measures: passwords are stored hashed, traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS), and access to production systems is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

9. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you by email or in the app. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
