Define the scope before building the board
Write down the songs you intend to include and the decisions still open: track selection, arrangements or who will handle mastering. Create one card for each song and use the same production stages across the project. Put the main goal in your scene name or track notes. An example EP might have three songs: one in arrangement, one in mixdown and one ready for mastering.
Use a common checklist, then adapt it
Start each song with the same checkpoints so you can compare what remains. Delete irrelevant tasks and add song-specific work. A vocal track might need a comping pass while an instrumental needs another transition. Keep project-wide decisions visible in the relevant notes rather than assuming that one completed song means the entire EP is ready.
Review the whole project regularly
At each weekly review, identify the song that blocks your next milestone and the exact action that would move it forward. Record dependencies on collaborators and leave handoff notes after sessions. Before calling the EP complete, listen across the final versions and check your own delivery requirements.
